Deep down. 2024. We all bury things deep down. Things we don't want to remember. Things we don't want to face. Big things, small thing, traumatic things, shameful things, sad things, painful things. We like to put a lid on it, lock it and through away the key in hope that it will stay there. But no matter how deep and locked away, it seems to parasite our life, it grows like a cancer and seems to seep through. Denial is the first stage grief and that's ok. But at one point, when you have the chance, the resources to do so, and the necessary support, you need to get to the next stage.

I'm not talking only about the grief of loosing someone but also grieving for any trauma one might have had. Trauma needs to go through the same stages, all the way to acceptance. So this is an encouragement to look at what we have buried there. You know, the thing you don't want to think about. Get the support you need and face it. It will be hard, it will suck, like, a LOT, but then comes the relief...
